While cost-effective and efficient for high-volume production, this method is susceptible to delamination, bubbling, and reduced breathability over time, particularly after repeated dry-cleaning.Half Canvas – 9%
Employed in upper-mid-tier off-the-rack and many made-to-measure offerings. A hand- or machine-stitched canvas extends through the chest and lapels, while the lower portion remains fused. This hybrid approach delivers improved drape and a softer roll in the lapel compared to fully fused garments, yet retains some of the longevity and breathability limitations below the chest.Full Hand Padded Canvas – 1%
The traditional benchmark of fine tailoring, found primarily in genuine bespoke commissions and select high-end ready-to-wear from Savile Row, Naples, and specialist ateliers.
